Oh yeah!

Holy crap, and I was praying you'd do a Megamix IV someday. My wish came true, and it's BOSSES ONLY! WHEE!

CrimzonWolf777 responds:

Prayer answered. Stay tuned for Megamix V! ^_^v

Fond memories!

Hey Paul, I too remember your first Icecap remix fondly and I'm pleased to see you remixed it. Indeed, those were the good times and hopefully they aren't finished yet! Not as long as you're around on NG, imo. Keep at it buddy, I'm still watching your submissions. =p

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

Thanks dude! I know it's been a while since I posted something, I'm having complications with a broken computer. But I'll be around still and back making music hopefully soon

Casino Nights goes '20s?

Man, if there was some kind of mafia game around the Sonic universe, this would be what the bar pianist would play. And that's exactly why I find it awesome. There's just a little detail, the drumlines are a bit out of place. They don't go very well with the piano, but that's minor.

DrMackFoxx responds:

Ah! I would agree: this song does have a 20s nostalgic feeling to it. You aren't the first to say so and I find that interesting because I just thought this arrangement just sounded pretty cool, myself. This track definitely would fit in such a time period the more I think about it.

As for the drums, I tried using a softer and more mellow-sounding kit that wouldn't overpower the lead and backup instruments (Honky-Tonk Piano, Picked Bass, CP-80/Electric Grand Piano and Bright Piano). In this case, I chose the 808/Analog Drum Kit for the percussion channel for a smoother sound. Nothing else seemed to fit, even the Jazz Drum Kit.

At any rate, glad you enjoyed this song! Thank you very much for an honest review and good critique. I greatly appreciate it. :)

Woah

This is awesome essentially because you did it all without a midi. (For your information, check VGMusic.com if you need midis...) And 17 hours straight, woah, dude, were you working on powerade coffee or what? Because that's at least what you had to drink to produce something that good.

Inspired?

I somehow thought about Toejam & Earl when listening to that. Perhaps it is an inspiration? If so, it's a factor of awesome. I really love this track!

Best RG Remix ever made, point.

Oh my god. I had a manly tear of joy by hearing this. This is probably the best Rock Garden remix that exists out there - and big thanks to camanis.net for making me discover this! It really, really does justice to Rock Garden's original tune, yet adds a perfectly awesome ambiance. It's the definition of "fitting". I love it so much I might contact you some day later to ask for permission to reuse this! It's just so awesome I can barely find more words to describe how much.

Good job!!

Finally, man! You made it to the Audio frontpage! Oh god, Paul, since your first remixes, even if I haven't been able to comment all the time, I've been listening. My sincere congrats, man. You truly made it, and with a song that goes in my favs for a long time!

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

Wow man. That's deep. Thanks a lot dude

Yeah it's been a good three years since I been in the top five, my Newgrounds Theme song and my Sonic 2 Mystic Cave were the only other ones that made it lol.

Really awesome.

Regarding Skyduckzard... There has been once a tool called S2MP3, that allowed players of Sonic 2 to play the game, but this program replaced the built-in music by mp3s of your choice. The developers once said they would develop one for Sonic 3 & Knux as well. I don't know if they did complete it, but if they did, then I'm picking this song for Icecap Act2, totally!

Either way, I'm still downloading this song. This is a piece of awesome. I haven't heard Breaktrance in a while and due to my sudden need to listen Icecap remixes once again (I've been hearing a lot of them, and I mean it, a LOT), and I know when I see something good. This gets my fifen and this gets a download. =)

Yes !

As usual, excellent work!
Progressive just how I love it, the climax beginning at 00:30 announces some sort of party, and keeps on increasing the number of sounds onwards... until 00:57. That's at that point you know the party has started. That it's time to be... on the move! The rest of the song is pure climaxing, complete awesomeness.

I think it's useless to prove again you're one of the best out there to me, not to mention the "Pots & Pans" side which adds to this song's realism. That's plain excellent. Loved it. 5/5, 10/10, +fav and downloaded. =D

ZooSafari responds:

Thank you very much bro, I really happy you liked it, haha I see what your saying about a party getting started and suddenly everybody raving at 00:57 XD

Take care! ^^

Yep.

This is fast-paced, really a quick-addicting song, it's really neat. Basses are powerful enough yet saturated when the main melody appears, should maybe fix this, but overall it's cool. Another point down because it's... too short. I want moar, dammit! XD
Get my 8/10 and my 4. Can't wait for your next work!

PrivateCoud responds:

LOWL thnx! ill make more
