Really good. Has that old-school vibe when the beat drops and a really aetheral atmosphere in the slower segments. They both work really well, this wouldn't have been out of place back in the Amiga/tracker music days.

Funny thing about the Lucy samples, I always thought when I was watching this in theaters that there's a lot of scenes and quoted that'd make for good audio soundbites, and now here we are.

It's like 2007 never went away at all. 14 years later and I'm still listening to this (and still playing wpnFire).

I have no idea if the author is still reading comments, and it's probably a very unoriginal comment, but I can legitimately say that listening to this track, while playing wpnfire or by itself, is some of my best teenage years memories now.

If there's ever a chance we could get a high-quality version of this uploaded (since the MySpace page of the author is down)... I would pay money, actual money, to commission a 2021 version of this, too!

The master has returned.

Master? *gasp* SINCE WHEN?!

The atmosphere exuded by this track is amazing! I found myself keeping this on repeat for much of the night. Many parts of this track reminded me of similar experimental tracks from the demoscene, and although this lacks the obvious "tracker" sound (as this was not composed in tracker format), there is definitely the same soul of experimental tinkering and hobbyist thinking. Music of that sort is rare and impossible to truly categorize, but always a delight! Perhaps it is not meant to be categorized - only experienced.

Well, I can say it with confidence: I would love more of this! I certainly enjoyed the experience of listening to -Precarious-, and I hope you one day release a follow-up to this.

Your visualizer brought me here! I came to say I simply love this track, and it's even better with the visuals.

Wow... Not only are you still around, I knew I was right to check out every single track I missed out on since what, 2009? Fair warning, this is going to be a long post. Only just came back on Newgrounds, and I've been on a binge, listening to everything you've made since those years.

Reading the description for each track in order has been like reading a story as well as listening to good music. Sounds like you've gone through some insane things in your life, but if I can be personal for a minute, it's really comforting to know that you're back and that you're still making music, better than ever before. You're even better at singing now! Frozen in Despair was an instant download and favorite for me!

More to the point of this particular track, it matters little what category it's from or that it's not exactly by-the-book DnB with Amen Breaks and the same 3 samples. Your description warned it'd be more of a fusion of styles, and that's exactly what we got. But really, what matters is, is it good?

I'll go straight to the point: Yes. Yes. A thousand times yes. It absolutely captures the essence of Mirage Saloon, the lyrics are on point, I almost want to listen to this more than Tee Lopes' original.

You were always one of the greats on Newgrounds Audio for me, and having the audio proof of your gradual and continual improvements - both as a person and as a musician - is, for lack of a better way to put it, INSPIRING.

I know you don't do requests, but... again, if I can be personal for a second there, all that's missing from my very personal point of view, is for you to one day perhaps, revisit Sonic Spinball, maybe see what you can do with Toxic Rave with today's experience and skill. Why specifically this track? Well, it's ten years old now, ten years ago this was part of my regular if not daily listening, and I still pop it on from time to time ever since. It was the PaulStetich sound - back when that was still your handle, like I'd ever forget.

All in all... it's good to be back on Newgrounds, and it's good to see, or rather, hear you again! Whatever you're gonna work on next, I'll be there to listen to it.

It's not often a review like this has me in tears. It's so great to know that you've been around before and that you remember all this! I don't even know what to say, this whole thing was really touching. Welcome back to Newgrounds, and thank you for your support!

Life is such a weird trip. lot of ups and downs, obstacles, things don't always go to plan. I've always believed deeply that everything happens for a reason. I've only ever wanted to chase all my dreams in life, but ever since my music return in 2016, I feel like I belong here more than anywhere else. I've gotten a new perspective on everything in the past few years. I'm sure you can tell that by my new genre focus and more spirited vocals (also because I got no parents telling me to keep it down. I love being in my 30's XD).

Thing is, I don't typically take requests unless I get paid for them at this point, but for someone whose actually been around, and left a review that's just more than motivating to me, I'm sure I can revisit Toxic Cave at some point, or some level from Spinball, I don't think I'd be able to best my top rated track of all time XD. I've actually been making quite a few advances lately with my music, now writing music for Sonic Legacy/Sonic Paradox, and I'm taking huge strides to one day write music for Sonic Team. My ultimate goal.

I'm currently doing a remix of Open Your Heart, my 100th track spectacular, it's taking a while but I've got some huge plans with it. Special guests, real guitars, really complex mixing. I am absolutely having a blast with it, and I hope it goes over well. I'm glad you showed up when you did. That's good timing. I hope you stick around for a while more. Thank you so much for the review! This really made my day!

As the song progressed, I went from "This is alright," to "Hey, this is pretty good," to "Okay, this person has a lot of talent and this is easily among the best Spinball arranges ever made."

Mouse hovered over 3 stars, then 4, then I gave up. Here. Full five, well deserved, and with wishes of success and more uploads like these.

All I have to say is, it's good stuff, and I'd love to see more Sonic, or more in general from you. Welcome to Newgrounds, enjoy your stay and hope you'll upload more.

Very clean, gives Rusty Ruin even more of an atmospheric feel. Good effort overall, only nitpick I'd have is that hats are a little loud and leads feel a little bit drowned out, but it's really small potatoes. Other than that, it's very listenable. Makes me want to see what else you can do with other Sonic tracks!

There needs to be more Jazz 2 arranges, but especially more GOOD Jazz 2 arranges. This is one of them and I hope there's more where that came from.

Leikehmacher responds:

thx good sir :) i'm planning on doing more jazz in the near future, so stay tuned

I explore newly released movies, games, and audio, and I do my best to vote on, and review them as fairly (if, sometimes, strictly) as possible.
