Master? *gasp* SINCE WHEN?!

Wow... Not only are you still around, I knew I was right to check out every single track I missed out on since what, 2009? Fair warning, this is going to be a long post. Only just came back on Newgrounds, and I've been on a binge, listening to everything you've made since those years.

Reading the description for each track in order has been like reading a story as well as listening to good music. Sounds like you've gone through some insane things in your life, but if I can be personal for a minute, it's really comforting to know that you're back and that you're still making music, better than ever before. You're even better at singing now! Frozen in Despair was an instant download and favorite for me!

More to the point of this particular track, it matters little what category it's from or that it's not exactly by-the-book DnB with Amen Breaks and the same 3 samples. Your description warned it'd be more of a fusion of styles, and that's exactly what we got. But really, what matters is, is it good?

I'll go straight to the point: Yes. Yes. A thousand times yes. It absolutely captures the essence of Mirage Saloon, the lyrics are on point, I almost want to listen to this more than Tee Lopes' original.

You were always one of the greats on Newgrounds Audio for me, and having the audio proof of your gradual and continual improvements - both as a person and as a musician - is, for lack of a better way to put it, INSPIRING.

I know you don't do requests, but... again, if I can be personal for a second there, all that's missing from my very personal point of view, is for you to one day perhaps, revisit Sonic Spinball, maybe see what you can do with Toxic Rave with today's experience and skill. Why specifically this track? Well, it's ten years old now, ten years ago this was part of my regular if not daily listening, and I still pop it on from time to time ever since. It was the PaulStetich sound - back when that was still your handle, like I'd ever forget.

All in all... it's good to be back on Newgrounds, and it's good to see, or rather, hear you again! Whatever you're gonna work on next, I'll be there to listen to it.

It's not often a review like this has me in tears. It's so great to know that you've been around before and that you remember all this! I don't even know what to say, this whole thing was really touching. Welcome back to Newgrounds, and thank you for your support!

Life is such a weird trip. lot of ups and downs, obstacles, things don't always go to plan. I've always believed deeply that everything happens for a reason. I've only ever wanted to chase all my dreams in life, but ever since my music return in 2016, I feel like I belong here more than anywhere else. I've gotten a new perspective on everything in the past few years. I'm sure you can tell that by my new genre focus and more spirited vocals (also because I got no parents telling me to keep it down. I love being in my 30's XD).

Thing is, I don't typically take requests unless I get paid for them at this point, but for someone whose actually been around, and left a review that's just more than motivating to me, I'm sure I can revisit Toxic Cave at some point, or some level from Spinball, I don't think I'd be able to best my top rated track of all time XD. I've actually been making quite a few advances lately with my music, now writing music for Sonic Legacy/Sonic Paradox, and I'm taking huge strides to one day write music for Sonic Team. My ultimate goal.

I'm currently doing a remix of Open Your Heart, my 100th track spectacular, it's taking a while but I've got some huge plans with it. Special guests, real guitars, really complex mixing. I am absolutely having a blast with it, and I hope it goes over well. I'm glad you showed up when you did. That's good timing. I hope you stick around for a while more. Thank you so much for the review! This really made my day!

There needs to be more Jazz 2 arranges, but especially more GOOD Jazz 2 arranges. This is one of them and I hope there's more where that came from.

Leikehmacher responds:

thx good sir :) i'm planning on doing more jazz in the near future, so stay tuned

Wow. This is exactly how Launch Base should have felt like! Let's get into a serious review before I start swooning..

Well, this is a Launch Base Zone remix. But what a remix! Instrument choice is well done, every instrument and sound effect is seamless and are in harmony, despite their wide variety. This gives the Launch Base tune a very catchy effect, with a slight groovy effect, emphasized by the drums and hats, as well as the sound effects. This sets a fun and positive tone which I would have never expected to work so well with the LBZ tune. The wise use of extending the main melody instead of following the original song's sudden breaks helps with the seamless feeling and actually helps the song being even more enjoyable; since there aren't the breaks one would expect, the song surprises you and keeps your attention; and the only time a break is noticed (at 1:53), it's not a sudden song stop as in the original; it's a violin... riff? Wow. Did NOT expect that, in a good way!

My only complaints would be that the fade-out is a bit too long, and that the song, dragging itself until 4:13, is a little bit too long and repetitive, but this isn't your fault; it's LBZ's that's already repetitive by nature. Otherwise, it's very well-made and this is a seriously underrated style. I'll end this with a personal note. I often roam Newgrounds Audio and sift through the well-polished generic turds to find THE melodic pearl; and this time, it seems I've found another! Great job there, feel proud and keep it up. Have a well-deserved 5 from me.

Aaah man! Wow, I'm over the moon my remix got a really positive, and intelligent review! I was very surprised again to see a fantastic review, and truthfull decription, this track took a lot of work, and judging by this review, it has paid off big time. I'll be lucky to hity the jackpot and get a review like this again, kaosuKaiari, big thanks for the review bra.

Now that's real, good, enjoyable techno. In the myriad of not-always-good Tetris remixes floating around on Newgrounds, I have to say I had FUN listening to something that sounded like this.

Professionally made, sounds squeaky clean, addictive just like the original tune, not too long and not too short. This is the stuff of nightclubs and rave parties, this is worth so much awesome it shouldn't even be free. But it is, and it's even better that way. This 5 I'm giving, it's very much deserved. This is positively awesome, and I'm not just saying that because I find it personally awesome (which I do), but because it is simply perfectly well done in every aspect possible.

I'll say it again, this is the cream of techno parties, and this is what they should play.

TastyTeo responds:

haha thanks :DDD

Hey, this is actually a very good remix for once! Even though Megaman tunes are fairly popular on Newgrounds and hearing new styles and sounds is difficult (everyone and their grandmother uses the same damn samples...) ; you on the other hand, make the cut and made something both different AND good.

This sounds professionally made, and seems to have a club or dance influence to it. Love the original melody between 0:26 - 1:20 ; THIS is what I mean when I said you put something fresh and new on the table. It's still a Snake Man remix, but it also has its own soul. I can't stop listening to this over and over, finally something truly GOOD in the Megaman remixing "scene" on Newgrounds!

BlackVen0m4you responds:

Wow i never responded to this? Thank you for the great comment!! I learned so much since then. I´d like to re-master this one. :) Amazing comment, really! Thank you!

It's pretty good, though it could really use being longer! You have a potentially awesome remix here, not much else I can say other than work on it!

MisterMonroe responds:

I'm doing so as we speak, pally! I know its short, hence why its a draft. Its the final version to the draft. My next post will be the final.

Perfect!

Again good job on getting it in the top five! I really love your works, they're mind-soothing as I told you before. To be fair, I think you make exactly the kind of trance music I love, or if not, it's very close. It'll go in my favorites, though I like the soundcloud version better. Longer is better after all~.

WildeKeizer responds:

Yeah, long Trance songs are beast.

Incredibly awesome.

This song is very soothing. It hit me right in the soul, it has just the right, medium-paced beat needed. It's not too fast and aggressive and it's not slow and mellow. This song just flows like a river, melodies go smooth and perfect, there is virtually nothing wrong with this song, aside from one thing: i'm unable to find any flaws in it!

Thanks to this song, I have achieved a relative state of trance. Just close your eyes, make sure no ambient noises will disturb you, turn the lights off, and listen, with a headset, volume high enough just so you can fully appreciate it. Trust me on that one: it's going to take you on a voyage. A real trip. This, my Newgrounds fellows, this is professional sound, this is a real piece of trance music. This is one of the best I've heard.

Wildekeizer, I think you should try your luck and become a professional if you're not one already.

And you Newgrounders, keep the 5's coming!

WildeKeizer responds:

Wow, thank you so much for the kind words. These reviews help me keep a positive attitude when I make more songs.

I could be considered a professional, but I do not make any money off of my work. I prefer to share it the way I please for now.

Listen to the full version on my soundcloud page if you want to get into a better state of trance. :)

Thank you so much once again.

A close second to perfection.

Arguably one of the best tetris remixes out there, be it on Newgrounds, if not on the entire Internet. There is not much I can say, your previous iteration of Ultimate Tetris was, well.. well-bearing its name. Can't improve what's excellent? Well I guess you can. Nothing is perfect in this world... But this song is a close second, that is for sure. You have done... *puts on sunglasses* ...an ultimate job. (Insert YEAHHHHHHH here)

Nakisima responds:

Thank you sir, you are too kind :) I endeavour to delight, and I am glad to have done so!
