A masterpiece.

I am. having. SHIVERS. While hearing this masterpiece.

Like HeavyHorse said, it's surprisingly underrated and not very common to see Megaman remixes going Japanese-sounding, if you except the occasionnal good Tenguman or Yamatoman remixes for obvious reasons. This is very well pulled, as it retains the technological feel overall felt in Megaman series (as, after all, it's a video game series revolving about robots), BUT adds a new, Japanese, almost honorific and distinguished dimension, which transforms this remix into what is almost a song on its own.

If it wasn't a video game remix, I would have sworn it's out of the OST of a video game, for reasons quoted above. Truly a masterpiece. It goes 10, it gets a fifen, and it's going on my favorites list. Very well done once again, and thank you for making this mix!

Thanks for the review Kaosu. I'm glad you liked it. It could use a little bit of mastering work the more I listen to it, but maybe I'll get around to it sometime...

Oh yeah!

Holy crap, and I was praying you'd do a Megamix IV someday. My wish came true, and it's BOSSES ONLY! WHEE!

CrimzonWolf777 responds:

Prayer answered. Stay tuned for Megamix V! ^_^v

Fond memories!

Hey Paul, I too remember your first Icecap remix fondly and I'm pleased to see you remixed it. Indeed, those were the good times and hopefully they aren't finished yet! Not as long as you're around on NG, imo. Keep at it buddy, I'm still watching your submissions. =p

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

Thanks dude! I know it's been a while since I posted something, I'm having complications with a broken computer. But I'll be around still and back making music hopefully soon

Good job!!

Finally, man! You made it to the Audio frontpage! Oh god, Paul, since your first remixes, even if I haven't been able to comment all the time, I've been listening. My sincere congrats, man. You truly made it, and with a song that goes in my favs for a long time!

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

Wow man. That's deep. Thanks a lot dude

Yeah it's been a good three years since I been in the top five, my Newgrounds Theme song and my Sonic 2 Mystic Cave were the only other ones that made it lol.

Yes !

As usual, excellent work!
Progressive just how I love it, the climax beginning at 00:30 announces some sort of party, and keeps on increasing the number of sounds onwards... until 00:57. That's at that point you know the party has started. That it's time to be... on the move! The rest of the song is pure climaxing, complete awesomeness.

I think it's useless to prove again you're one of the best out there to me, not to mention the "Pots & Pans" side which adds to this song's realism. That's plain excellent. Loved it. 5/5, 10/10, +fav and downloaded. =D

ZooSafari responds:

Thank you very much bro, I really happy you liked it, haha I see what your saying about a party getting started and suddenly everybody raving at 00:57 XD

Take care! ^^

Yep.

This is fast-paced, really a quick-addicting song, it's really neat. Basses are powerful enough yet saturated when the main melody appears, should maybe fix this, but overall it's cool. Another point down because it's... too short. I want moar, dammit! XD
Get my 8/10 and my 4. Can't wait for your next work!

PrivateCoud responds:

LOWL thnx! ill make more

HOLY FFFF.

Holy crap. I think I'm in love with the music. It's useless to tell that you're going straight to the 5, 10, the MP3 player and the favorites folder, right? Right?! XD
I don't feel like making constructive criticism on that - it just deserves ONE word.

AWESOME.

CrimzonWolf777 responds:

hahahaah thx for reviewing! ^_^v

Hmm!

Thank you for warning us about schranz's properties, but I have a question, is it a genre of hardstyle?

Anyway, good job on this, it was very powerful on basses, I guess it's on purpose.

Z-Tone responds:

no schranz is to techno as trance is to hardstyle
and btw thanks alot for the review

No, you were right.

It would feel even less in Industrial or Trance, leave it in Techno.
The back melody in the beginning sounds like a program perpetually running, until it's done at 00:52. A new melody then appears, like more programs popping up and running. Progressively, as new instruments came, it became kind of catchy.
I'll just regret the fairly high level of saturation, like it was sort of very slightly screechy, it's hard to explain but when it happens you really hear it. Overall, neat job. I'll give you a 4.

And yes, music is inspiring for me. It always is.

Drawoh responds:

O.o

wow, u took your time to really hear the song and its properties :P
thanks for the review ^^

(oh, and sorry if u feel it a bit saturated, its just that I didnt compress the song cuz if I did it wouldn't have sounded like I wanted it even though it sounds a bit screechy as u say :3)

I am an old-timer who first discovered Newgrounds in 2005 and made an account in 2008.
I explore newly released movies, games, and audio, and I do my best to vote on, and review them as fairly (if, sometimes, strictly) as possible.
